SoSIII: Released This Weekend

No joke. After looking at this directory sitting in modules folder for about half a year...its time. I blew the dust off and finishing up the final battle that has been undone for too long.

Now that most of the interest has shifted toward Dragon Age, it will go out with a whimper instead of the original intended bang. In other words, the quality of the final battle and cutscene(s) will not be on the same level as the rest of the module. A comprimise I know, but the time has come to ship.

NWN2 toolset doesn't play nice with my Windows 7 64bit install, and I haven't had much of a chance to do finish this off. I still have the toolset on my laptop though and can at least get the last part working. Honestly, I need to get this old business taken care of so I can focus on new business.

New business will start right after this weekend release. I will follow up with details of my planned DA:O module: Beyond the Shivering Pines.

I'm curious about it. I loved SoS and now I´m roaming Orzammar. So a combination of DA:0 and your skill would be great!

Good stuff! Looking forward to playing part 2 and 3.

I wish sometimes I could work at your pace, I really do! Finishing a "big battle" or "cutscene" usually takes me many, many sittings...

Good luck with your DA project.

Congratulations on the prospected release! I hope you can have your deserved bang anyway, although you may be only half-listening! :-)

Well done on another release. I will have the pleasure of playing them all at some time in the future I hope. :)

I'm surprised you have any toolset issues. I am also running Windows 7 64 bit, and the toolset runs fine.

Lance.

Thanks all. Actually my pace is kinda choppy these days. Run run run to a point, then shelf it for 6months before I decide to put a cherry on top.

My Win7 64-bit problem only happens on my desktop, and only after I try to add SoZ (which my module doesn't require anyway). I took that as a sign that I should give the new toolset a try...fresh OS, fresh pallette.

Another reason that I wasn't keen on release was because I wanted to keep the same setting (different geographical area) for my DA:O mod, and was afraid events in this module could throw things off. Hopefully the trilogy can serve as a nice primer introduction to the setting instead of gospel.

Oh well, throwing some TGAs into the hak now so I can finish the last conversation with some images. Shouldn't be too long now before I'm making sure all of the journal entries are accounted for.
