Finito: Uploaded to the Vault

While it seems like I've been working on this forever (and in truth, very little work was involved), Sands of Solvheil III: Crusaders of Shalihir is uploaded to the vault and sitting in Pending Approval status.

Whew!

It's like having labor pains when the kid is 2 yrs old already (best analogy I could think up on the spot).

Well that's that, it is done. Three mods that I intended to be a different three mods (this was originally only part II) have been designed, developed, and delivered. The story is told, although maybe not as originally intended. Naturally had I made the one after this the ending would have been changed slightly.

Now it's time to kick back, play a night of Modern Warfare 2, drool over the prospects of playing Arkham Asylum II, and Force Unleashed II when they come out, picking my Jedi/Sith name for Bioware's Old Republic, and decide which toolset to have my next affair with. Electron, you're not out of the running just yet.

Congratulations and enjoy the break! Completing a three module series is a tremendous achievement and I'm sure the community appreciates all your hard work. Well done!

Yes, amazing achievement! Congratulations. Looking forward to the day when I can kick back too and enjoy these and other mods (AA and CD2 sound pretty fun too...). (Will that day ever come? ;) )

Looking forward to seeing where you'll lay your hat next.

This may be the only full Trilogy for NWN2. Now the only question is, are you going to release the Extended Trilogy for X-mas?!

You freakin' did it, bud - Congratulations! :D

Well done on the release! :)

I did start the first module in your series, but am wondering whether to jump straight to the third. Will it spoil the story?

I only say that because I have said I would help a number of people over the comng weeks, and I don't know how much time I will have to play.

Thanks guys! You all helped more than you will ever know. There was many a "to hell with it all" moment, and the community alone kept any motivation and momentum alive.

I should totally kick back and play a few other mods now that I finally have a machine that will run NWN2 again. Seduced by the power of Windows 7, I was flying with the blastsheild down for quite some time.

Naaa, No extended edition planned. Although I will later go back and adjust inventories to replace all melee weapons with walkie-talkies. Then maybe add some Dewbacks.

It would definately spoil the story, but would hopefully be an enjoyable playthrough regardless. I won't deny that my mods are pretty linear, and build on directly on the preceding events.

Hi Raith,

OK, so I continued with Sol 1, to get the best from them, but have, unfortunately, hit a game-breaking bug. :(

At the end of the undermill area, I found the shrine and had a battle there. During the course of the battle, Bram died and I triggered the shrine conversation before he revived ... hence the conversation cut short for me and I did not get a journal update or the chance to meet Anziath. :(

I thought you would like to know in case you wanted to fix it, or at least be aware of the problem.

Hi Raith,

Just remembered the DM Tome and have forwarded the quest myself. :)

Hoorah for that. :)

Yeah, I never could figure out how to prevent dead companions from borking the cutscenes. Keep in mind that was a few years ago, but I haven't got any better at the dillema lol. Hopefully savegames and/or the DM Tome will come in handy.

Hi Raith,

The only way I can think of to avoid the problem is to ensure a default/backup conversation route if the conversation NPC is dead. And at worst, should even drop to a DM statement with the variables set on that line before ending the conversation. It may not be quite as neat as the NPCs speaking, but at least you've covered yourself. I will have to do the same thing I guess.

Online casinos superficially gig odds and payback percentages that are comparable to land-based casinos. Some online casinos avow on higher payback percentages as a medicament looking as a remedy in place of duck gismo games, and some convert known payout proportion audits on their websites. Assuming that the online casino is using an correctly programmed unpremeditatedly consolidate up generator, note games like blackjack stress an established borderline edge. The payout cut up up as a replacement pro these games are established sooner than the rules of the game.
